national schools chess championship

The National Schools Chess Championships are now in their 50th year.
This year’s Championship began in October,
with 93 teams from all across England prepared to fight to reach the prestigious National Finals.

In the heat of the battle, some favourites fell by the wayside,
but 8 intrepid teams met at the splendid venue of Uppingham School
to finally determine who was to hold the 2007 Championship and Plate titles.
